How To Plop
Check out the video about plopping. A technique that can save you time on your wash days.
Curl Tool Guide
1. Flour sack towel or tea towel.
Good ol Target comes through with the goods once again. These are soft and jumbo so you can use em for drying & plopping no matter how much hair your have.

2. Silk Pillowcase
This seems to be the easiest for most of my guests vs. a silk bonnet. Silk will be more of an investment however it guarantees no other fabrics are added such a rayon or polyester.
4. Detangling Brush
My recent go to has been the Bounce Curl Define brush. If it is out of stock, add yourself to their waitlist. It is worth the wait!

5. Continuous spray bottle
I’ve used this tool on you so you know how great it is. It’s great for day 1 styling and refreshing. Need a say more?
3. Diffuser
I have the pro version of Sam Villa and I love it. However, I am sure their non pro dyer will still give great results. If you purchase a Sam Villa you will have to add the diffuser separately. I also had to include the Shark dryer because so many of you have been raving about it.
6. Water Filter
Water is your hairs multi vitamin so the type of water we give it matters. I personally have the Jolie Filter because I liked the options and that I could have a filter sent every 3 months so I wouldn't forget to change it. Aquayouth comes highly recommended however, it only has one option and you have to remember to change the filter on your own
How to show up for yourself with a busy schedule
3 practical things that will keep you feeling confident and show yourself some love during this busy time.
1. Adapt to your current schedule.
As much as we love scalp scrubs and masks, simple is going to win in these situations. A good shampoo, condition and style routine will always do you good. Consider adding some eucalyptus leaves to your shower before your guests arrive or pack some eucalyptus oil and add a drop to your shower when traveling. Take a few deep breaths and give yourself that moment.

3. Sleep
What does that have to do with hair? Lack of sleep can make an already busy routine more stressful which we know has a HUGE affect on our bodies (our hair). Putting on blue light blocking glasses when the sun goes down is the EASIEST part of my routine that I can take anywhere. Pair that with my silk pillowcase (or your go to sleep tool to protect your curls) and I’ve covered 2 aspects that show myself some love no matter what my schedule looks like.
Arizona Curl Care
3 ways to care for your curls when you live in Arizona
1. Get a shower filter

It's no secret that AZ has hard water. The best thing you can do for your curls is install a water filter. The filter will eliminate minerals and metals from the water so you don't have to worry about these increasing build up.

2. Use a strong hold styling product during monsoon season
Some of my favs are I Create Hold, I Create Definition, I Create Curl Memory & I Create Finish.

3. Incorporate a hydrating treatment
You can actually add this one all year round for us AZ curlies. Incorporating a hydration treatment regularly (start with 1x a month) can improve your curl health tremendously. My fav Hydrating Hair Mask from Innersense.
